| One of the most popular components of the Howard Armstrong
Recreation Centre is the beautiful, oval indoor track. It is designed for
people who like to walk or run, with two distinct lanes. The outside lane
is for runners while the inside lane is for those who like to walk. It
takes nine (9) laps to cover one kilometre and 14 1/2 laps to complete one
mile. |

| There are two special warm-up areas, complete with step
machines and stationary bikes. Track users can also take a break from
their walking or running to add variety to their work-out. |
