VALLEY PRESCRIPTION CENTRE

Valley Prescription Centre Brings Patients Back To The Future With A Focus On Personal Service

Sean Lahti knew that he had a good following in the Valley East area. After all, in his fifteen years as a pharmacist, he has spent ten years serving customers in Val Caron. He has met a lot of people and has got to know many families during those years.  In addition, he and his wife, Nancy, are proud to be raising two wonderful young daughters, Vanessa (9) and Madison (7) in this great community. It has always been his dream to open a new pharmacy in Val Caron. His decision to open the Valley Prescription Centre next to the Parthenon Restaurant, has been well received among local residents. Since he opened the doors at the beginning of January 2006, the response has been outstanding. In fact, he has extended his hours and is now open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. to meet the needs of his growing practice.

“This is a pharmacy that is designed with our patients in mind,” explains Sean, who as the pharmacist-owner of Valley Prescription Centre, will work with each patient to help meet their prescription needs. “The dispensary has a low, open counter which allows for easy interaction with our patients. And while they are waiting for their prescriptions, they can sit down, relax, enjoy a cup of coffee beside the fireplace and watch a little TV in our spacious waiting area.”

Indeed, the first thing one notices upon entering Valley Prescription Centre is its unique design, which allows the patient to feel comfortable. Furthermore, there is a large reference section with many health pamphlets and videos on a variety of health topics. You immediately feel that you are in a pharmacy that is completely focused on taking care of your health needs.

Valley Prescription Centre is what is known as an INCO Prescription Provider. As such, it is one of the few places in the region, and the only one in Val Caron, which INCO and its union recommend to their employees and pensioners. “We are proud to work with INCO to help them preserve their benefit plan,” Sean commented. “Being an INCO provider allows us to process prescriptions directly with no further responsibility given to the patient.”

The Valley Prescription Centre is quickly becoming known within the region. “Our patients have discovered that while we work with their company to help preserve their benefit plan, we never cut back on customer service.  Companies and unions appreciate the fact that we are here for the patient – their employees and union members – and our professional commitment is to the health-care needs of each individual.”

Valley Prescription Centre Pharmacy welcomes all patients, not just from INCO. They offer free local delivery and senior discounts. They also prepare blister packs for patients who request for them. Bilingual staff is also on hand to serve French-speaking customers.

Please drop in and talk to Sean and see how he can provide for your prescription health care need.
