Popular Customer Appreciation Contest Runs For Eight Months

A special Customer Appreciation Contest was held at the Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre from March to October 2006 inclusive. Shoppers were encouraged to enter by depositing their cash register receipts or by filling out a ballot and leaving it in the drums which were located just outside the entrance to Desjardins' Food Basics, Hanmer Home Hardware and Valley Plaza Pharmacy at the northwest corner of the mall. The other drum, shown below, was just outside Billie Jeans. The prize package consisted of over $1500 in gift certificates from mall merchants. A total of $12,000 in gift certificates was given out during the twelve months.

Mazzuca Family Appreciates Local Support

Val and Violet Mazzuca, owners of the Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre, are proud of the reputation they have built for their shopping facility. In the past two years, they have bent over backwards to help improve the image of the shopping centre and give everyone a pleasant experience each time you visit.

	Comfortable sitting areas with a total of 18 wing-backed chairs can be found in five different areas of the mall, giving you a right-at-home feeling;
	We've expanded the sitting area at Pam's Deli to provide more place for you to relax and have a snack or refreshment;
	Our "oldies style music" engulfs you in a happy, lively atmosphere from the time you enter the mall until you are ready to leave. This is the happy place in town.;
	Almost 300 square feet of Community Bulletin Board space is available free of charge to local groups, organizations, churches and schools;
	Almost every week there is something going on at the mall as dozens of community groups use the facilities to raise funds and/or awareness;
	We've installed many new and exciting childrens' rides throughout the mall to keep your children entertained while at the shopping centre;
	All of the entrances now have automated doors to make it more convenient for shoppers with parcels;
	We have a beautiful Centennial Quilt hanging across from the Royal Bank that always draws a lot of attention and generates many fond memories;
	The Mall News is published monthly to keep you up to date on what is happening each month:
	Every Wednesday in The Vision Paper you can find "This Week At The Mall", a half page feature that gives you information about what is taking place at your shopping centre that week;
