| Popularity of Drive Through Service
Indicative of Modern Family Lifestyle |
|

|
| Joeanne Lafond, owner of Dixie Lee Restaurant, shows one of
the reasons why her drive through is so popular with her customers.
"Many of my patrons, especially those with young children, like
the added convenience of being able to pay for their order with Interac or
VISA. This means that they don't have to go to the trouble of getting
their kids out of the car to pick up an order. They just drive on in,
place their order, swipe the card and away they go," explained
Joeanne.
In a society "obsessed with speed", the convenience of
getting full service while you are in a hurry to get from one place to
another is "heaven sent". In fact, at Dixie Lee's, you can even
place your order by using your cell phone while en route and it will be
ready in 20 minutes or less when you arrive. You don't even have to wait
in line.
The main restaurant is open for eat-in meals from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
seven days a week. The drive through is open an hour later every day
except Monday when it closes at 8:30 p.m. That means that up until 9 p.m.
from Tuesday through Sunday, you have the opportunity to pick up anything
on the menu. |

| Dear Parents:
Families sure have changed in the past twenty years (who knows where
they might end up). The chances that the whole family is in the same room
at the same time is hard enough to accomplish, but you're expected to cook
supper too! Between driving the kids to baseball, soccer, dancing, etc...,
how are you supposed to find the time?
Don't worry. We can handle it for you! Just call me from your office or
your cell phone and place your order. I can guarantee that your order will
be ready in 20 minutes or less if you phone ahead (your ride in from
town).
Don't want take out. No problem. Join us at the restaurant. Our booths
can accommodate a family of four comfortably. Look through our menu and
choose an appetizer before your meal or perhaps you may want to top off
your meal with a piece of "homemade pie" for dessert. The choice
is yours.
So, whatever best suits your family, call mine & we will be happy
to cook for you. After all, the restaurant is the only place we can all
get together!.
Yours truly,
Joeanne Lafond |
