Something For Everyone At Fall Festival

There was something for everyone during the 4th Annual Fall Festival hosted by Holla’s Produce & Greenhouse in Blezard Valley on September 30 and October 1. The cars were lined up for hundreds of yards along both sides of Martin Road as residents of Valley East and surrounding municipalities took advantage of some great autumn weather to enjoy the wide variety of activities. Five year old, Stetson Troscinski, front, and his four year old brother, Tyson, look a little bit tired after emerging from the hay maze. Carole and Paul Holla couldn’t have been more pleased with the turnout.

“It’s been packed here both days,” Paul commented. “The kids are having a great time with the animals, pony rides and other games we have set up.”

In addition to the games for the children, there was plenty to see and do for adults as well, including several displays, presentations and a small farmers’ market.

The Fall Festival has grown into a very popular annual community event in Valley East and is expected to continue to expand. The key to the success of the occasion is that the organizers have presented a fun-filled family weekend with enough different things to do and see that one can spend hours on the site and still have something to keep  up their interest. It has been a well-planned mix of entertainment, education and shopping which appeals to people of all ages.

One of the other activities which generated a lot of interest was the hay ride. Marcel Michaud is shown driving the happy participants during one of his rounds.
