Lizette Gascon, Co-Chairperson of the event, expressed her sincere appreciation to everyone who helped out. Dozens of women, members of the Knights and even friends and relatives pitched in to make sure that visitors were treated to a special afternoon. She was thrilled that so many people turned out to enjoy the day.

Lizette and her Co-Chairperson, Diane Desjardins were pleased to announce the winners of the two wonderful door prizes that were donated by generous sponsors.

If you log on to our web site you will see Diane and Lizette with the beautiful Jewellery Box, filled with jewellery, which was donated by J.B. Jewellers of the Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre. The total value of the gift was approximately $700. It was won by Mrs. Claire Noel of Hanmer.

Also on our web site, Diane and Lizette can be seen with the $300 Bicycle which was generously donated by Eva Lanctot Realty. The winner of the bike was Asha Gosselin of Hanmer.

A number of other prizes were also given out.

Mrs. Paulette Lalonde of Garson won the $500 cash prize which was being raffled off through special tickets. The $250 second place prize went to Claire Blais of Hanmer. A special guest from Alberta, Gerry Charbonneau, won the 3^rd place prize of $100.

Mrs. Dorothy Dorval, mother of one of the Auxiliary members, Louise Lemire, made a lovely crocheted table cloth which was won by Joan Giroux.

Mrs. Cecile Chartrand, a resident of New Liskeard and the sister of member Rita Plourde, donated a beautiful afghan which was won by Claire Noel.

Yves Charbonneau of Val Caron won the Kid’s Korner prize package.

Several grocery baskets were also up for grabs. Anita Lalande of Val Caron won the 1^st basket; Yvonne Lelievre of Hanmer won the 2^nd basket and Ghislaine Despatie of Hanmer won the 3^rd basket.

A total of 65 gifts were donated to the Penny Table by ladies of the auxiliary, the Knights themselves or by friends of the Knights.
