The Valley East Rebels, Minor Atom Division team travelled to London February 2nd to 4th to play in the West London Optimists NOHA tournament. And play they did! The Rebels then defeated bandily the Scarboro team by a score of 7-0. The Rebels met the Applewood Cree on Saturday morning, winning 6-0. A shootout competition was also hosted by tournament organizers and Tyler Beskorowany earned the spot of top goalie in the Minor Atom Division. In the semi finals, the Rebels took the game with a score of 3-1 against the Huskies. The Scarboro team met the Rebels again in the finals. The Rebels managed to pull the game off with a score of 2-0. The Rebels played hard and steady throughout the weekend and were rewarded with the championship trophy.
