Looking Forward To Baseball Season?  1st Annual Team Connexion/Valley Kinette Club Mixed Sno-Pitch Tournament Is The Answer

It has been a long, cold winter and area baseball players who are getting the bug to get back on the field can have their wish come true in a couple of weeks.

The 1st Annual Easton Connexion/Valley Kinette Club Mixed Sno-Pitch Tournament is being held on March 3 and 4 at the Blezard Valley fields. This two day event is expected to attract over a dozen teams of men and women who are looking for good, wholesome, friendly competition and fresh air. It is an excellent way to enjoy your favourite summer sport in the dead of winter with your friends.

Entry fee is only $150 per team. All teams are guaranteed a minimum of three games and have a chance to win some great prizes. Refreshments will be available.

Sno-pitch is played with the same rules as slo-pitch. However, with the snow cover acting as a blanket, players are allowed to dive and slide all they want. Wear your winter boots and see how fast you can run in the snow after hitting the orange ball. Games will go on regardless of the weather.

You can register your team by calling Al Soucie (969-7654); Warren Kirwan (969-8427); or Scott Bolger (969-1078).

With over 800 adult slo-pitch men and women in Valley East alone, this tournament is bound to be a huge success. Sudbury Easton Connexion and the Valley East Kinettes have teamed up to provide this recreational opportunity in an effort to get players in the mood for the summer spring training season which is just around the corner.
