Val Caron Kwik-Way Wins Silver

Val Caron Kwik-Way won Silver at the Sudbury Minor Hockey Royal Bank Novice Hockey Tournament on the weekend of January 12-14. In a hard fought, tightly contested game, Kwik-Way were edged 2 to 1 by the Sudbury Kings. Brad Schroeder scored the game-winning goal with under 5 minutes to play. Also scoring for the Kings was Steven Johnston. Mathieu Kilganon replied for Kwik-Way. Game MVP's were Colton Bonnah for the Kings and Kyle St. Marseille for Kwik-Way In serni-final action Kwik-Way defeated Sudbury Esodynamics 5 to 2 Scoring for Kwik-Way were Robert Dubois (2), Alain Beaulieu, Yves Vouriort and Joel Moncion chipping in with one. Shane Violette and Mathew Lescault replied for Esodynamics. Game MVP's were Joel Moncion for Kwik-Way and Mathew Godmer for Esodynarnics. In round robin play Kwik-Way defeated Sudbury Ducks 4 to 1. Goal scorers for Kwik-Way were Yves Vouriort, Travis Campbell, Michel Jameus and Alain Beaulieu. Kyle Lekun replied for the Ducks. Game MVP's were Alain Beaulieu for Kwik-Way and Kyle Lekun for the Ducks. Kwik-Way defeated Sudbury Esodynarnics 8 to 0 with Jordan Snow registering the shutout. Scoring for Kwik-Way were Travis Campbell (3), Robert Dubois (2), Yves Vouriort (2) and Joel Moncion. Game MVP's were Robert Dubois for Kwik-Way and Jacques Lemieux for Esodynamics. Kwik-Way were defeated by Sudbury Kings 4 to 0 with Cotton Bonnah registering the shutout. Goal scorers were Ryan Johnston (3) and James Dent. Game MVP's were Neil Conlon for the Kings and Steven McAnulty for Kwik-Way.
