Click To EnlargeWhile all of the players were sitting comfortably at their kitchen tables enjoying a meal with their family, Dick Decosse, umpire in chief of the Valley East Men’s Slo-Pitch was hard at work making sure the playing conditions would be just right for the opening of the 2001 balls season.

For Dick and the hundreds of men who enjoy the friendly competition of slo-pitch every Tuesday and Thursday, it has been a long winter. But now that the ball is being tossed 12 feet into the air and hit over the fence on a regular basis, all of the white stuff is forgotten. Get ready for the familiar voice of Dick Decosse, the official ambassador of Slo-Pitch in Valley East, as he once again cries out, “Pllllllllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy Baaaaaaaall!
