Ron Masciangelo Has Built His Business
The Right Way -
By Helping Customers Find What They Need!

Ron Masciangelo is definitely a familiar face to most people who have lived
in Valley East, and indeed in the Greater Sudbury Area.
An unfortunate accident while working for his father's construction company
in the early 1970's cost Ron the thumb on his right hand, but turned out to
be a fortunate turn of events for thousands of customers who have purchased automobiles and trucks from him since he got into the automobile sales
business in 1974. Today, he and his son, Jeff, shown below, operate one of
he most successful Pre-owned Automobile companies in the entire north.

They recently relocated from their Kingsway location and are now
situated on Falconbridge Road where it is much easier for customers to
get in and out of traffic and there is much more room to browse and
look over automobiles. The move been much appreciated by customers.

Ron is shown above, standing beside a photo of one of the three
classic cars that he personally owns today. It is also the car that
perhaps got him interested in "cars with character".

This car in particular is a 1965 Cadillac Fleetwood Lincoln that was
purchased from the Ottawa area in the early 1970's  by his father, Pat.
It was originally owned by Prime Minister John Diefenbaker who used
the vehicle in official parades in which he was involved while in office.

When Ron heads out the door of his office into his new showroom,
he often shakes his head at the turn of events that got him into the automobile business in the first place. The accident that cost him his thumb forced him
to lay off of construction during the healing process. It was during that time
that he decided to go to Cambrian Ford to purchase a new truck.

Since the truck had to be specially ordered and would take three months,
Ron was offered a job as as sales man while he waited. During this brief
stint, Ron discovered that he had a gift for selling automobiles and trucks.
His ability to communicate with customers and find them a vehicle that would suit their particular needs gave him a whole outlook on the kind of career he would like to follow.

The truck eventually came in, but the owners of Cambrian Ford actually tried to keep him from finding out for a while longer because he was doing such a good job and they didn't want to lose him.

Ron remained on the floor with Cambrian Ford...for another ten years and the rest is history. Masciangelo Motors was created in 1993 and Ron's love of automobiles has become legendary in the Greater Sudbury Area.

Ron attributes his success to a philosophy that has been the core of his career. "My goal when I first meet someone is NOT to sell him a car. My goal is to talk to him and find out what I can do to help. If I can't help him, I let him know about other places which may be able to help him get what he wants. I would never sell someone a car that is not right for him.".

Ron and his wife, Bonnie, have lived in Valley East since 1970. They have two children, Jeff who was born in 1974 and Jennifer, born in 1978. Both children are involved with the business.
