In Loving Memory ....2

She  was  my  mom....

She was caring, funny, modest, loving and obsessed
with her grandchildren.
She loved gowns and dancing and all
things "feminine."
She loved her dogs, her friends, and her family.
She would imagine a gift and create a pattern to sew it. She wrote letters to politicians and news editors
on the wrongs of the world.

Sometimes she overlooked her own care, and often cared for others at her own expense.
She was a lover, not a fighter, though she had a temper and a| strong will which she rarely showed.

She was young when she died, although she suffered
from ill health for over a decade.

Her family knew it was coming, but we were all in
shock when she passed this morning at 10 am.

She will always be an angel on my shoulder.
She loved angels and once
gave me an angel pin to wear.
She made me believe I was her hero,
though in fact, she was mine.

She was my mom.

She's comfortable now, at last.
No more will she struggle for each breath,
nor will she feel trapped by her own body
and unable to be with those she loved.

She will be with us all now, anytime she chooses,
anytime we need her.

And she's free.

We love you Mom... you're our angel, now.

Love always, Deb

Sister of our hearts and soul
Gone home to endless peace
Sister who made our lives whole
Our love for you will never cease

You gave so much to each of us
Courage, laughter, hope and joy
And now as we grieve we must trust
That your spirit lives and fills that void

So Dearest Sister we'll keep you here
In the love of all our memories
Know that we'll always hold you dear
And in our thoughts you'll always be

In Loving Memory of Louise Nemersen

SHE WAS LIKE A LIGHT IN THE DARK

WHEN YOU’RE WAKIN’ HALF BLIND WITH A HEAVY HEART

SHE COULD BE A FRIEND, HELP YOU ‘ROUND THAT BEND

SHE’D TALK LIKE A SAGE, SMILE LIKE A CHILD

SOME DAYS YOU’D SWEAR YOU COULD SEE GOD SMILE

IN THOSE SHINING EYES, DRY EVERY LAST TEAR YOU CRIED

CHORUS:

OH SHE WAS JUST LIKE THAT, SHE WAS JUST LIKE THAT

SHE WAS ONE OF THOSE WHO GAVE WITHOUT EXPECTING SOMETHING BACK

OH SHE WAS JUST LIKE, SHE WAS JUST LIKE THAT

SHE ALWAYS HAD A PLACE FOR A HEART TO HANG IT’S HAT

WELL I WAS LIKE A STONE THAT’D ROLLED

TOO MANY TIMES ON THE SAME OLD ROAD

GATHERIN’ DUST, NO ONE I COULD TRUST

SHE TOOK ME UNDER THOSE ANGEL’S WINGS

SAID YOU OUGHTA WRITE, YOU OUGHTA SING

AND STOP WASTING TIME WITH THINGS THAT NEVER RHYME

OH THE STORMY SEAS I’D RIDE, SHE WAS LIKE AN ANCHOR

IN THOSE SHIFTING TIDES

SO I SANG FOR HER THEN AND I SING FOR HER NOW

SHE’S GONE BUT I KNOW SHE LIVES SOMEHOW

IN THE WAY SHE CARED, IN THE LOVE SHE SHARED

LIFE BRINGS US THOSE THAT LEND A HAND

GIVE US HOPE, HELP US STAND

BRING US HOME AT LAST . . . . AND SHE WAS JUST LIKE THAT
