Banoffi Pie (this is SOOOOOO good!!)

store bought shortbread pie crust (or try choc gram cracker or plain)
2 tins condensed milk (13.5 oz each)
1.5 pounds firm bananas
whipped cream

Ok, this is the easiest pie recipe ever!
Immerse the milk cans UNOPENED in deep pan of boiling water. Cover and boil for 5 hours, making sure the pan does NOT boil dry. Remove the tin from the water and allow to cool completely before opening. Inside you will find a soft toffee filling.

Spoon the toffee over the crust. slice the bananas lengthwise and place on top of the filling. Cover the whole thing with whipped topping. It is truly exquisite. You can sprinkle cocoa on the top or drizzle chocolate or caramel or anything you like.

CAUTION: Be sure to keep a watch on the cans while they are boiling. If they boil dry, the could EXPLODE!! You can also use this as an emergency pudding dessert. They will keep unopened indefinitely in your cupboard. All you have to do is open and serve wonderfully sweet pudding. YUM!!!
